TweetDeck by Twitter App Reviews

lol

it wont even let me resize to fit my monitor which is in portrait mode

Its usable.

I dont know why people are so mad with this software. This is not supposed to be a full facebook/twitter application but rather staying up to date with it. This is usable and interface looks clean and cool on the full screen on Lion.

Unlike

Tweetdeck used to be pretty great before Twitter bought it. Luckily, after reading comments here about the update(s), I kept the old version. Now its just glitchy and a pain but its either that or Hootsuite.

Needs facebook integration to make it worthwhile!

Tweetdeck used to be my favorite…until it lost its Facebook cross posting! Needs facebook integration to make it worthwhile!

Garbage

Cant even post from a facebook page. This app is useless. It is def not for power users and I am disapointed.

Awesome idea, but flawed app

1. It doesnt update Twitter tweets column until you quit and relaunch the app 2. Facebook posts dont even show up as an option for a column if its a Facebook Page you have linked up in Tweetdeck. 3. LinkedIn dropped. Boo! 4. Keyboard shortcut to make new Tweet? Or just bring back the big open space to start typing... 5. Resize columns? 6. There is an arrow on the right side to see the next set of 4 columns, but not one to go back? Odd...

Some UI nicities please?

Wish List: Multitouch gestures - When I click "Details" or "View Conversation", I should be able to right-swipe to go back to the column view. - When my cursor is over a column and Im tring to scroll up and down in the column, theres a little horizontal play or "wobble" thats annoying.

Half-baked

Some nice things. Real-time display to the time line, nice interface, nice hyberlinking Really troubling things: Real-time update of search result columns for trending phrases makes it impossible to read any one of them; causes app to hang. I still use the official twitter app to do searches because of this problem.

This app needs fixing

I used this app for the first time and i was able to set up the app. after that the app froze on me and i force quit the app lunched it agian and the app wouldnt display the UI and stated that the app was not able to initialise the login UI. seems good but the problem needs to be fixed

Too much real estate consumed

I like to have my feeds runing in a small area of the screen - why do you force the window so large when i only have two columns open? Glad I still have the old version installed.

Really great update

This app is an absolute essential for me and the last update made it even better. More fluid, can adjust size characters, Tweetdeck is really perfect if you want to follow different subjects or trends at a time on Twitter and know everything thats happening. I really love this app and I dont understand why it has so many bad ratings. I use it everyday and I adore it, so I give it 5 stars :)

Too many bugs.

This version has too many bugs. From the theme switcher to the hanging popup window to images not working within the app. I was using it on a 2010 8-Core Mac Pro so my computer is not the issue, it is the app. Please fix these issues and I may re-install this.

Still not as good as version 0.38

Please please please put back in the ability to make the window 1 column wide. I dont want an entire screen of my desktop consumed by this application.

Inconsistent with Twitter and V 0.38

When you view a list in Twitter, you dont see retweets by people in the list. When you view lists using the 0.38 Tweetdeck, you dont see retweets from people in the list. When you view a list in *new* Tweetdeck, you see a rapidly scrolling list that you cant view because it contains.. you guessed it.. all the retweets from all of the people in the list. Boo Twitter. You broke Tweetdeck really bad and you still havent fixed it.

Not enough...

I really dont like that I can only view one of my twitter accounts on here. What about those of us with more than one twitter or facebook account? How do I see my direct messages and @ messages for my other accounts if I cant add them? It would also be nice to have it more customizable not just dark and light.

Nice, but missing functionality

The new tweetdeck is nice and parts of it work well, but there are some missing functionality. The search bar at the top does a poor job of finding twitter users (Im assuming its supposed to replace the quick profile from the previous version) making it hard to add followers. Also, when you do searches, it doesnt let you choose which account youre searching under.

newest update

After just spending 5 minutes on this newest version I am loving it. I honestly thought only a couple things were missing from tweetdeck to make it great. 1. Seeing conversation history and replies in the details of a tweet. I love this ability in a different twitter app that is very popular which made me use it instead of tweetdeck. 2. The search function. I found Search was terrible until this latest update. Good Job Tweetdeck you are now my first choice twitter app again.

Still a huge #FAIL

While it is getting close to having the functionality of the AIR version of Tweetdeck, until it does it will not be on my Mac.

i loved the OLD tweetdeck

i’ve had the AIR tweetdeck since it first came out and i love it, still to this day. honestly this new version is NOT an improvement. — if you take something great, add some new features to it and take out some others, you don’t end up with a better product. it’s simply the law of adding-substracting. in this case they may have substracting way too much. ps. and now the old tweekdeck seems all buggy

Cant sign in

I cant event sign in. I know that my password is correct, Ive tried both Mac and PC, results are the same - cant sign in.
