Forced Update

I was enjoying using my version of Tweetdeck 3.8. It was stable, functional, and effective. Now Twitter is blocking it from working--forcing me to upgrade or go elsewhere. Why should I be forced to update to a new version with an average rating of 2 stars? Looks like they are just try to kill Tweetdeck.
